Where is the conference?
The Environment Funders Canada 2023 National Conference will be held at the historic Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, Quebec (1 Rue des Carrières, Québec, QC G1R 4P5).
We are fortunate to be gathering on the land which is the traditional and ancestral territory of the Nitassinan and Wendake-Nionwentsïo (Huron-Wendat) and is covered by the 1760 Huron-Britannique treaty.
Getting there:
Depending on your location, Quebec City is accessible by air, rail or highway. We encourage all conference attendees to make their travel arrangements as early as possible. For air and rail, we have secured discounts with Air Canada, WestJet and VIA Rail for conference attendees. Please use the links and promotion codes below to book your flight or train trips to make sure you are getting the best available price.

Carbon Offsets
We know travel is the largest source of carbon emission associated with a conference. We have included a voluntary $30 carbon offset option in the conference registration. We strongly encourage all registrants to include this modest fee when registering for the conference. See Conference Greening for more details.
Getting to the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac
From the Airport: The Jean-Lesage Airport is about a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Taxi services are available to and from the airport – flat rate $41.40 CAD (day) or $47.60 (overnight).
The hotel is also accessible from the airport via RTC public transit which departs every 30 minutes, every day. Route 80 comes to the city centre where you will need to transfer to the 1 bus which goes direct to the hotel. A RTC ticket vending machine is located near the information desk in the airport terminal building. Regular rates apply. From the VIA Train Station: The VIA station is about 1 km from the hotel. Taxi service is available to and from the station (approximately $12 CAD). The RTC route 25 also connects to the hotel, with departures every 20 minutes, every day.
By Car: For those driving, the hotel’s address is 1 Rue des Carrières, Québec, QC G1R 4P5. The hotel parking’s entrance is accessible from St. Louis Street. Valet parking is $35 CAD per 24-hour period, including in and out privileges. This is a preferred conference rate and will be applied to your invoice at checkout.

The deadline to secure your room at the discounted group rate is Wednesday, April 19, 2023. After that time, rooms will be subject to availability and be at the regular room rate. We encourage you to make your room reservation immediately after registering for the conference. Cancellation policy at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac
Reservations may be cancelled with no penalty if more than 72 hours prior to arrival. If cancellation is within 72 hours, one night deposit is charged.
Conference tickets cancellation policy
A full refund for pre-paid conference ticket(s) will be issued for cancellations that are made before April 10th, 2023. Otherwise, registration fees will be refunded less a $250 cancellation fee per ticket. Refunds for cancelled tickets (less any applicable fee) will be processed either by credit card through Eventbrite or by Electronic Funds Transfer for those who pay direct to EFC via cheque or EFT.
